In this part, all the good practices, that can be used in order to reduce or eliminate the waste that is produced in the metal processing industry, are presented. It is noted that the proposals are not restrictive and that they provide significant information in applying similar practices in other industries.
This industrial sector is characterized by the production of a large quantities of liquid and solid waste, as well as by smaller quantity of gas waste. Thus, there are mentioned good practices of minimising the drag - out and reducing the water consumption.
Moreover, there are presented some good practices of minimisation of the produced waste by extending the baths' life, substituting the raw & auxiliary materials, recovering the metals, recycling water and using some housekeepig practices.
